VCDS can't enable Driver Alert System

Made a couple of VCDS adaptions tonight but afterwards it looks like I have a new option for "Driver Alert System" which I cannot enable.

Couple of questions:

1. Am I right that this option does not appear as standard? (to turn on I mean)

2. Is this the fatigue sensor and this is standard on vrs but I don't think there is an option to turn it off.

I think it is the fatigue sensor, yes, althouh i'm not 100% sure. And i'll have a look in a little while whether it's a option or not in the settings on mine.

it's enabled on mine (an SEL) and the vRS is supposedly an SE with extra kit added. Basically the vRS is an SE with added sporty stuff and the SEL is an SEL with added non sporty stuff. Both should have it.

 

Looking on here the fatigue sensor can't be enabled or disabled by VCDS and I know we didn't touch anything remotely like fatigue assist.

 

In case it helps here is what we enabled

 

• Enabling cornering fogs with additional settings for vRS
• Enabling laptimer in the maxidot
• Enabling Traffic Sign Recognition on models with Lane Assist
• Enabling passenger mirror dip on selecting reverse
• DRLs flash alternately with indicating
• Enabling High Beam Assist (intelligent Light Assistant) on models with the Lane Assist Camera

I'm wondering why the car has "transport mode active"

 

isn't that supposed to disable lots of features and should be turned off by the dealer at PDI?

Scanning through the vcds thread there is an option to turn on and off transport mode. Maybe take a look to ensure its not turned on still.

Must have turned it off somewhere in our vcds codings. Did notice lots of different options appearing on the mib when making the changes.

Options to enable mirror folding stuff like that when I don't have folding mirrors.

I've got it on two cars and its not gone off once in circa. 31.5k combined miles.

What version of VCDS was being used?

Ok stranger and stranger! Myself and Domhnall have just finished recoding my car, reverting all the changes we made and now the only options I have on my driver assistance settings are:

Front Assist (with options)

Lane assist (with options)

Just 2 sets, nothing at all for Driver Activity Sensor. (before any adaptions I was sure that this was the case) Does that mean my car has no fatigue sensor??!
