****SOLD****2007 Skoda Fabia VRS SE – number 739 of 1000

I am selling my much loved little daily hack. It is the Special Edition version of which only 1000 were made with full black limited edition VRS leather with the build number embroidered on it, cruise control, 6 CD multi-changer and metallic blue paint. It has absolutely zero mechanical faults and runs perfectly, returning an average of around 58mpg from its 130bhp 1.9 turbo diesel engine. Motorway mpg is around 70mpg. It is currently sitting at 79,800 miles, but this will go up as it is my daily driver.

I have had it for about 18 months and in that time I have made a couple of tasteful modifications as follows:

OEM alloy wheels powder coated in anthracite with new VRS centre caps – 100% completely unmarked
Replacement of the OEM suspension with AP shock absorbers and lowering springs (30mm drop)
Full set of front suspension Powerflex poly bushes
Leon Cupra R Front Splitter
Pipercross Upgraded Panel Air Filter
LED sidelights
Team HEKO Wind Deflectors
Porsche 911 Coolant Cap
Audi R8 Oil Cap
Bentley 2 button Remote Fob & Key

The original suspension struts and springs, coolant cap, oil cap are included in the sale.

All the services apart from 1 were carried out by Skoda Main Dealer/Specialist. The last service was carried out on 25th April 2015 by the Skoda Main Dealer at 76,725 miles, so there is nearly another 7,000 miles until the next service is due.

Cambelt Service was carried out at 65,035 miles. Both Front and Rear brake discs and pads were replaced at the same time.

MOT expires 22nd December 2015 and there were no advisories on the last MOT. Car Tax is low band at £130 per year.

Bad points

As with any 8 year old car it has a few stone chips to the front bonnet and the odd hairline scrape that will come out with a machine polish. There was lacquer missing from the roof spoiler, which is a common issue, but I have had that repaired. There was also a ding on the rear passenger sill and a scrape and I have had those repaired also. I have also reduced the price by another £250 as well as repairing these issues.

All in all it is a reliable, mile munching, quick, cheap to run and maintain car that has given me zero mechanical issues since I have owned it. I am the 3rd owner of the car.

Taking into consideration the couple of minor points as pointed out above, I will be pricing the car at £4,750, but will take a fair offer from a Briskoda member. Any silly offers will be disregarded as I am in no hurry to sell at all. Any test drives will be conducted by me unless you have proof of fully comprehensive insurance for my car (not “your insurance entitles you to drive other cars”) or the full asking price in cash in my hand.

Bump - roof spoiler professionally repaired & painted. Small ding and scrape in rear passenger sill also professionally repaired and painted. Price also reduced by £245 to £4,750. Mileage now at 80,450 as in daily use.
