Nightbreaker D2S for cheap

The burners in my car are as old as the car...  Figure as she's been good to me this year I could treat her to a new set.

Just picked up a pair of Osram Nightbreakers for £63.16 delivered from powerbulbs.co.uk ; they've got a code on for 20% off.  Includes a free set of Osram W5W bulbs too.  Seemed like a bargain so thought I would share :)  (though how much of a bargain I will find out once they arrive!)

Big thumbs up for Powerbulbs - ordered Sunday evening, arrived Wednesday morning.  Sent 2nd class recorded from the UK, all genuine OSRAM packed units.  Top notch :)

Bright?  I have installed Osram Cool Blue Intense (nominally 5000kelvin) and they were a bit change relative to those ageing original D2S bulbs.

At the same time I also re-aligned the headlights, they were too low really, so not fully benefitting from the xenon power previously.  SOmehow factory settings tend to err on the side of caution and typically be too low

I changed mine as well a couple of years ago; as far as I remember, the original D2S were 4300K (more on the yellow side of Xenon lights), I have installed 6000K (cool blue), Kiwitecc brand, AM made in Germany and a good replacement for factory fitted OEM as I learned from my mechanic. Paid 25 Euro for the pair plus the shipping and I am a very happy nightbreaker since. At that time Philips or Osram were ~120 Euro for the pair so this was a risk well taken, but proven to worth...

Provided that after the change, the headlight alignment was redone and the new position "learned" by the module (oh_superb is right that factory settings of the headlights were on the low side).
