Octavia 3 H7 headlight bulb change

I have been searching for a guide with images on how to change the dipped H7 bulb on my 2014 Mk 3 Octavia. I have disconnected the socket for the current bulb but I can't see how to remove the bulb. I assume it has a locking collar that retains the bulb.

I can be a little energetic at times and do not want to break something.

Has anyone been through this and done the 'How To'?

I have just changed the bulbs on mine and it was difficult to work out at first. Look at the bottom of the bulb and you will see a small metal spring clip over the bulb flange, push that down and the bulb will come straight out. To replace, put the top of the bulb in first to ensure the bulb flange is engaged in the notch in the holder, then push the bottom of the bulb until it clicks under the spring. It is a lot easier to do than to describe! The real problem is that you cannot see what you are doing as your hand is in the hole, so have a good look first with a torch.

Hi Paulius, I have just managed to do it with the help from your description. The owners manual diagram makes it look like you needed to twist the bulb but pop in the top and the bottom will ping in with a push.

The LHS Bulb was harder, there was less room.

Thanks again

I hope this picture helps,I also struggled to change my side bulb as the manual stated it needs to turn.

As you can see there are two clips holding it in place. This is a difficult procedure if you have hands like shovels  like myself.
