Indeed it is, his product designs were timeless, like the pencil sharpener, his trains and buses were ahead of their time, as were most of his cars.

OK, try this one.

 

My dad was interested in the Chrysler way back in the 70s. We even had a test drive.

Glad he didnt get one, he went for a W114 Benz later.

I keep think Chrysler Valiant, but it's not, the rear window looks like a 70's Mopar (but upside down.)

Dithane is right!

Dodge 3700 made under licence in Spain.

It was the Spanish Mercedes between all the Seats they had in the 70s.

Yep - that back window was distinctive - the right angle at the top and the swept curve at the bottom - most rear windows are the other way around !!  Wonder did they take the glass from a Dart CKD kit and put them in upside down ??

 

@wile7 Some versions of that Holden Statesman are quite weird how they reflect the local Victor/Ventora/VX490 of the era. Like swollen versions of the equivalent Vauxhall !!
