Viewing a 2002 Superb in the morning. Advice please.

Don't buy a car that has ever been wet. Corrosion in connectors and spliced joints in the wiring loom will continue long after the water disappears. The 2 plenum bungs need to be removed/displaced and the outer pollen filter housing to body seal discarded and replaced with mastic strip. You can't check for seal replacement easily.

Some or all of the interior lights not working, central locking on 1, 2, 3 or all doors not locking / unlocking.

To check if there's water under the carpet, put the front passenger seat as far forward as you can. Open the N/S rear passenger door and look in the footwell and you'll see the floor air vent. Push your fingers in between the bottom edge of the vent and the carpet and you'll be able to push your fingers down passed the carpet and sound dreading matting to the metal. If you can feel that the carpet or sound dreading matting is damp or indeed you can feel water in the well, just forget it, it's soaked the wiring and the electronic convenience unit already.
