Hi Davld where do I buy the auto light kit thanks Trevor.

Yeah VAS is different and dealers talk a certain amount of the smelly stuff too if they dont feel like doing stuff.

Theres a VCDS map on here. Sometimes finding a member, pm'ing them and asking them nicely for the cost if a few cans.. Works better.

Some lovely people on here that are always keen to help.

I've helped someone with this previously, it's difficult to explain so I'll give it a go

Finding the one you want is really difficult I'm afraid, I did find this, but it is €99 http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/light-switch/auto-headlight-switch-light-sensor-for-2/

The reason why it's hard is because obviously all the interior switches and buttons illuminate Green so you of course want a Skoda switch, where as myself because I have changed the majority of the interior switch illumination to red so getting a Volkswagen one was a lot easier

I did look through eBay but couldn't find one

This is the exact one I got off eBay http://www.ebay.co.u...STRK:MEBIDX:IT

A lot cheaper but it doesn't light up Green, only Red,

Hopefully that helps

To install it was easy, simply plug the existing loom into the box, hide the box behind the dash and run the sensor up the A-Pillar and stick it just out the top

To add Coming/Leaving home lights you need access to VCDS to get into the ECU to enable them (I suggest enabling "Tear Wipe" and "Auto lock after 5kmh" if someone is doing this for you for beer money  :))

I sent that via PM to another user, you need to get the autolight switch with the big back box to it! There are 2 versions, one with (that fits) the back box and one without it (doesn't fit)

Are you sure? What if doing stuff is limited when VAS is used. Skoda doesn't even offer some functions as optional, which can be done by VCDS. Turning lights, coming home lights etc.

If mechanic wants to help you and uses his own VCDS, it's another thing.

By the way, I didn't need automatic lights to get coming home lights. VCDS was all I needed.

Hi does your speedo light up during the day we are finding it hard to see the numbers around the dial. When the headlights are on they are nice and clear.

When speedo lights are off, it means day isn't bright enough for DRL. Citigo tries to tell that you should turn the driving lights on.

Simply clever. ;-)
