Yellow Yeti

Recommended Posts

I'm currently awaiting my new L&K 1.4TSI (which suddenly seems to be the model choice de nos jours) due early in the new year.

I've ordered it in Jungle Green, which is OK as a colour, but I really would like a yellow Yeti - I've never seen this as an option from Skoda but I think it would really suit the car.

If I ordered it a yellow wrap for my new Yeti, would this be removable without causing any damage to the paintwork underneath?

Any other way I could get a yellow Yeti?

IIRC there was a post with photos on here some time ago featuring a yellow Yeti which was some sort of promotion or business advert.

Yes, it is removable and it won't damage your paint in the process. If anything, it will protect the paintwork for the time that it's on the car. The only thing to note is that the DVLA seem to have changed their stance on changing a cars colour with a wrap. It used to be the case that it wasn't notifiable as it wasn't viewed as a permanent change to the car; nowadays it is. As a result, you'd also have to let your insurer know of the change as well. Similarly, when you strip the vinyl off, you have to let the DVLA know.

When I say yellow, I was thinking more of a mustard.  It's my car: I really don't mind if you don't want one in yellow - you can pick your own colour.

I'm not averse to a good yellow colour in a 'tongue in cheek' or should that be cheeky, car.

But I've always reconsidered after considering the exit strategy of px or private sale.......it's hard enough accepting the reality of depreciation without colour becoming a factor.

A wrap fixes that problem though,so, why not!?.

with the kids we play yeti (1 point for spotting a yeti, 2 points if the driver is less that 40) and banana (1 point for a yellow car)

for a while now a yellow yeti driven by a youngster has been much sought after

An interesting alternative to the motorway 'Eddie Stobbart' game.  But what's the 'Yeti' tune?

Judging by the amount of adhesive I have seen left on the car body after wraps have been removed every time I have seen this done... I would say "NO".

Those I that I have seen remove a wrap have either then had it re-wrapped or resprayed.

You're welcome!  Too long, no see- even though you resigned from the Yeti UK16"SpecialBuildClub.  Must do a half-meet sometime!
