An article in the Prague Post says it will be out Early 2016.

http://praguepost.com/technology/50154-skoda-announces-new-fabia-model

Odd on the New Fabia (saloon) being available from last November, they were not exactly flying out the factory to customers other than maybe to the MEDIA,  so that 'What Car;  could make it 2015 Car of the Year before anyone could buy one, and maybe to Fleet Buyers.

Skoda like to Spin the success of their vehicles, but before the 1.4TDI Diesel Fabia Scout is on sale they will

need to get the CO2 / MPG Testing Results correct.

Hmm.

Cannot see if it delivers as 4WD, only a lot of fragile plastic fixtures smacked on. So, whats the point?

The point is Skoda brings very little new to the party with any model,

they are all about Looks, and add some Plastic Tack and Stickers, style rather than function, & it is time that they maybe offer more & hopefully now there is a new CEO that might happen.

The problem with all that matt grey plastic is that it looks awful after a while unless you really keep on top of maintaining it. It needs treating with a semi-permanent trim restorer from the likes of Gtechniq or Gyeon before the car even drives out of the showroom.

I have an 8 year old Octavia Scout, the grey plastic gets exactly the same treatment as the paintwork and it has not deteriorated in any way.

It is actually black plastic painted matt grey so unlike standard plastic bumpers that fade and need treating the ones fitted to Skoda's (and Audi Allroad models) are much more durable.

These days are over...

Given how Skoda are building their cars today I'm not sure it can be guaranteed that plastic on the new Fabia Scout will be painted matt grey? More likely formed in matt grey and left like it ;-)

?

Does anyone know anything up to date on the Fabia Estate Scoutline,  are they going to be on sale in the UK in 2016?

Apparently some web pages are being updated:

It seems it's already on sale in Germany:

Skoda UK website news section has an item 17th Feb about the Geneva motor show and specifically includes a reference to Fabia sportline. Whilst it may be at the show so not unreasonable to mention it on international pages, I wonder why Skoda UK has chosen to highlight it unless this start of confirmation it's coming to UK

Standard coloured plastic bits are likely to be cheaper than (larger) parts which need painting and blending in to surrounding bodywork.

Oh, and it looks good too - dare I say better than the last one (sorry).  Bang on some winter tyres, maybe even a touch taller and don't worry about the bodywork as much on a conventional car.  I know that's not what it's designed for, but it doesn't stop you doing it.
