Looking at one of their kits including fitting and mapping has anyone got one already ? Looking at about 200 to 210 HP so one of the smaller turbos would a replacement side mount intercooler (upgraded) be sufficient ? Any benefit from tubular as opposed to cast manifold at this power ? Thanks

I have the 230hp kit.

You'd be better off just buying the bits you need and then finding a decent mapper. There are a bunch of vendors selling kits now.

Xman is well regarded for his turbo kits and John at Hidden power for the re-map.

For 210hp you just need a hybrid turbo. FMIC would be needed if you plan on using the power.

Some have fitted upgraded SMIC but their not much better than stock. You really need a larger frontal area.

Cast vs tubular. No power difference. One is more expensive but looks bloody good, not you ever will see if once fitted.

Many views on turbos. Some will say a garret gt17 hybrid like a 1752 or 1756. Some will say stock Garrett gtb1756vk. Pros and cons for both.

Stick to big turbo conversion not hybrids

Hybrids offer straight bolt on upgrade but there no where near as good as a big turbo conversion. Hybrids cause large boost spikes where thw big turbo conversion will give smoother better boost.

After having a hybrid on my old seat ibiza cupra tdi and a big turbo conversion on my golf gttdi I'd never do hybrid again.

Full turbo conversion kits are the only wayforward.

You will defo need a front mount intercooler and need clutch and single mass fly wheel.

Saying that my old seat ibiza cupra tdi on hybrid turbo running to 220bhp was on standard clutch and flywheel for 60,000 miles.

Where my golf gttdi pd150 with big turbo conversion running 223bhp slipped and shredded it's self 150miles later

DMF is fine as long theirs not crazy torque spikes.

Seen plenty of hybrids with nice smooth boost response. Also seen really laggy ones with spikes. Depends on who builds them.

A hybrid is fine for 230ish but a fmic is a must have. The standard intercooler can get heat soak very quickly even with a remap.

I'm running 366lbft on a uprated dmf and when checked the other week there's no wear on it at all.

Correct Charlie, I have Gee's old fabia which was mapped by jabbasport

I have the paddle clutch option. Interesting I've looked at part number of the dmf and its the same as a standard one yet copes fine with the torque. And it has been abused some what lol

Heres a print out of my graph hutchy

Thanks mate.

My standard clutch and flywheel was fine at 220bhp also, but that was the limit for mine, it was remapped higher than that but was slipping so got set at 220bhp which was fine to give me a chance to replace the clutch and flywheel and then remap it again after.

Xman sells uprated dmf and clutch set ups.
