Lol.

How I do it:

*All filters: mann from eurocarparts online with click+collect (last time all were £42)

*Oil: Mobil1 esp formula 5w30 (5L) from ebay (user: opieoils - used them for over 1year now) costs £34-38.

I either do it myself or pay a mechanic friend £20 or a local garage £40 if the friend is not available. And they also check everything above.

done with VAG parts/castrol oil....£169

all filters oil/air/fuel/pollen

Mine was also £169 which included mot and brake fluid, though I did supply the oil. How? Simply negotiated with the service department and I get a print out similar to the top post. Edited by Danny 57

I think we are finding main dealers dont realise WE are the customers...

I was a HGV parts/storeman (truck and trailers), if a customer asked for oil+filter change thats what he got, you dont argue with some guy who owns 100 trucks or vans, i once saw a supplier forced to dance on an office table after screwing up an order to keep the customers business, a £50K tractor unit, a £50K fridge trailer, £200K load of yoghurts held up by the wrong £10 valve.....

Mine was the main dealer price.

Im happier dealing with the black-hand gang who call a spade a spade and look after my vehicles instead of supplying a nice showroom to wait in with TV and coffee machine and twee little cups, give me a cracked mug and teabags and im happy, 55 years ago dad used to take me to his firms haulage yard/workshop to play in, maybe thats why im the way i am
