Induction

I havent noticeably lost anything low end since I got mine fitted tbh. Get a bit annoyed with it being too loud at times tho. Might put standard back on for a bit. Didnt think you needed one stage 2 tho? I thought the only requirement was a dp?

Who am I to argue with a reputable tuner like shark, many people running stage 2 without induction kit. I am curious to what figures they can achieve without and with induction kit. I would say the difference wouldn't be that great. What engine u have tfsi or tsi ?

Induction kit will make almost no difference.  You are better off changing paper filters more often.

Is a 2009 a TFSI or the TSI?

If it's a TFSI then you are better off upgrading the HP fuel pump & cam follower.  Add a good downpipe and bob's your uncle.

I can't understand why anyone would fit a cone filter without heat shielding - too much hot air.

Just had mine stage 2 mapped at Shark, and they said i need a full induction kit to get to around 275bhp, this means from the Turbo to the filter.

My car has a front mounted cone, with head shield, and has been ducted from the front to allow air to it.

Shark told me this was not good enough, and that i had to replace the ducting from the Turbo, to the MAF.

if im honest i was skeptical, as induction kits make nearly no difference in the real world, if anything they dull the low end performance.

But who am i to question???

Im certainly not going to pay £250 for an APR stage 2 pipe!!

Im getting my car on the rollers in the next few weeks, and see what power (after stage 2 map) my car is making.
