I wonder if they negatively affect the aerodynamics at all?I don't have them.

Yep

You won't see them standard on economy cars.....sig aero drag.

So that's £60 for a set of 4 then. £40 for a garage to fit is cheap....is that mud in your eye.

£40 for about 10 mins work - that makes it about £240/hr labour charge.

That's not cheap in anyone's book...

You said 10 mins to fit 2, so that 20 mins to fit 4 which equates to £120 which is the going rate in many garages...yes. Did you do maths at school.

When I was looking at mudflaps, I didn't think the Skoda ones looked that effective, so I fitted some aftermarket ones that are designed for the Yeti, but notably longer length.

They seem to work pretty well.

Designed for the Yeti? Don't be shy... please tell us which ones these are!

I Bought front and rear sets from a Skoda dealer for £53 including courier delivery.

They were very easy to fit, they use the existing screws (#10 x 1/2" star drive

large pan head) you need two longer ones for the rear mudflaps (#10 x 1")

About half an hour to fit but have a good look at the flaps and instructions before

you start

Here are my long ones (sorry can't remember where I bought them!):

Now those are proper mudflaps! longer and a tad wider!

I may add some Stainless steel to extend the pretty ones I fitted.

My rubber boot mat arrived today, it is marked out to allow trimming to shape

but I did not need to it sits nicely in the boot space with the spare material

neatly folded up the edges.

Has anyone purchased the eBay versions (which look similar to the factory versions)

I almost pulled the trigger on the front and rear set from superskoda but postage was triple the cost of the actual mud flaps !!!

Hi Again,

:p

Now I've decided to get some from Skodadop - as their postage is reasonable

However my 2015 City has rear mud flaps fitted - however is there two types of rear mud flap available

a) Factory small rear mudflap - doesn't go over the rear bar

and

B) Factory large mud flap covers some of the rear bar (similar to the front - that sits over the top of the body work)

Google has failed to show any "good" shots of the rear FL mudflaps  :dull:

s/steel 2"-3" longer and wider neatly cut and  bolted to the original flaps.

All his own work, but he bought the s/steel.

(*I don't have mudflaps on my Yeti but maybe the next one)

My wife's last car/SUV was a Holden Captiva (Cheap re-badged Daewoo??) - they probably sell them in the UK as a Vauxhall something.

It had sidesteps and mudflaps.  The front mudflaps were so badly designed that the top of the sidestep would get covered in mud which was then tracked into the vehicle (I guess these 4WDs were never intended to go off the tarmac).  I had some cheap trailer mudflaps in the workshop (basically square bits of rubber) and used the factory screw points to attach to the existing mudflaps - they looked like a factory fit.  They added about 25mm width and 40mm length.  Stopped 95% of the mud and kept the car much cleaner in all weather.

I've now received and fitted the factory fronts and rears (95 days after ordering) factory option rears are substantially larger than the flat versions in my pics

That's a hell of a wait mate , if I ever have to wait more than a week for anything I go mad  :swear:
