Amundsen Radio Navigation System

Recommended Posts

My sat nav thinks it is starting in the middle of the sea and will not reset . Tried everything .

Can anyone explain how to get it working properly

It just shows a blue screen and when you go to overview it appears to start in the middle of the English Channel

Does not give instructions

Help !

Could be not finding any satellites, whilst in the map press the i button, this will show the current latitude and longitude and how many satellites its connected too. Could be the antenna has failed.

I am having exactly the same problem, sometimes is fine other days it is all over the place, The systen works as it recognises a map refrence when I press i button, the pointer moves and turns then all of a sudden jumps across a few mile. The voice still says turn etc.. It is as though it not locating in the correct postion. I have had it back to DM Keith in Huddersfield who updated the software and still the same .... works for a week then stops for a few days. Same in all weather condtions (DM Keith say this can cause problems).. I assume it may be the aerial at fault . does anyone have any idea at the cost of replaceing aerial... assume all head liner needs to come off..... so not a quick fix ????

Any advice welcome .

Cheers

Mine did this the other day, showed 1-2sats and thought I was in Cheltenham.  A new GPS receiver from ebay for sub £5 soon fixed it.  I put my replacement one above the glovebox, but under the dash plastic.  Seems to work a treat.

Yes I did the same. Had been getting worse over a couple of weeks, fitted new receiver (£4.99 ebay)under dash in front of the storage box in the dash. Now finds about 12 satellites. Just left roof receiver disconnected.

Thanks for that , 1 final thing if that's ok , how do you find the info on number of sats being received .

Thanks

Whilst in the map press the i button (next to the cd eject button) it will show current location address and lat/long, scroll down and you will find the satellite information.
