M12MKD's 2015 Octavia MK3 2.0TSi vRS Combi

I thought I'd start a project thread as I've now got a few bits done and some bits ready to go on the car.

Picked him up on September 2015.

Fitted a panel filter, not that it's really made a difference.

Fitted Audi R8 coolant cap

Winter wheels fitted. Went for 17's rather than the 18's due to more choice in the rubber

After the trip to Yorkshire

And yes in that above picture the garage had put the tyre on the wrong way :( (spotted by a briskie member - thank you). So after 1200 miles I had got the local fitter to swap to around.

Few interior bits fitted

Footrest (free gift from super skoda) - slightly smaller than the DSG one but fits ok and now matches the pedals

Door trims

And SKODA badge

Also fitted a rear bumper protection strip. Not to everyone's taste, but I think it's ok

Lovely looking.

Good stance. I have always thought that the stance and look might me imprived with some hubcentric spacers perhaps 10mm? The octy wheels seem a bit lost in the arches rather than filling them. The extreme alloys do a great job looks wise though.

Finally fitted my Rieger rear diffuser - what a nightmare of a job (see below how to)

Pictures of the fitted LED in the fogs, lucky I didn't have to code them in (no bulb out warnings).

At the moment the far passenger bulb has not been changed as I cannot get the bulb in with the water bottle in place. So it's worth noting that if you go for these bulbs you'll need to move the washer bottle.

(You can see the far passenger one is the old style bulb)

Full LED bulbs

Difference between the two bulbs

As for brightness, massive improvement over the usual bulbs. I've got them set as cornering lights, which is very noticeable, but they do not dim like the normal bulbs.

Pastidipped the rear badges

Looking good, and it was good to meet you at Combe.

Quick question, how did you remove the plastidip from the paint but not the badges?

Hello again!!

As long as you do not spray it too thick (secret is thin layers), it will form a natural split, for example where the badge doesn't actually touch the body work. It's somewhat pleasing to do.........maybe I'm a bit wrong.

Thanks for the tips, I think it looks good, so I may have a go at being a copy cat!

I'd agree with you there, the xtremes look good, but could do with being a bit wider IMHO.

I think you'd be fine with up to 12mm at the front, the rear can have slightly more.

for what is £9-13, it's a cheap and easy way to change your car. Plus if you don't like it or it goes wrong just pull it off and start again.

Yes mine is with tow bar removable panel. Just took the tow bar off for the pictures.

As for the LED lights, from AliExpress, I'll post the link up when I go on my laptop next.

Plastidipped the front badge and had a play with a bonnet stripe......possibly this is going to change later for a difference design.
