Fabia mk2 Monte Carlo grill 2013 plate

Recommended Posts

How do I, if I can, remove the front grill? I want to add a tsi badge to it but can't reach to screw it on without removing the grill, I have the Torx t30 Allen key, just can't see where or how to remove without removing the whole bumper, thanks

I bought the badge too and gave up as I couldn't figure out what to do to remove the grille and I wasn't sure what glue to use. Some people swear by gorilla glue but I'm not sure if there is enough surface area to get a decent bond. Sorry, that's not much help really is it?!

Right don't use glue! Fml like you said, there isn't enough space to glue on too, I just tried it and ****ed my whole grill and the bottom trim had to use acetone and the Mrs had to help remove it! Now got to wash and polish the whole car to make it not noticeable and I snapped the tsi thing as was ****.

Grills can be removed fairly easily, I took the one off mine to put a black magic one on, from memory couple of screws/fixings on the slam panel then use a plastic trim removal tool and work your way around the edge of the grill, although to be honest as I had a couple of spare grill I lost patience and ripped it off. if your damaged you original grill I have a couple of spares I'm selling one plain black and one with the chrome trim

Hi, yeah I think there is 2 types of Fabia 2 grills, cause I wanted the Fabia honeycomb grill really but that's for the pre facelift version, if the grills you got will fit a 2013 Monte Carlo then yeah I'd be interested, what ones you got? Thanks

There are a couple of screws on the top and a couple of un-removable fasteners to, just cut the top off those fasteners and remove the screws then work your way round the grill taking out the clips from the edges, easy peasy. To b honest though once you've got the top off the grill will probably bend out enough to get your alen key in.

There is a honeycomb grille for the facelift Mk2 Fabia and it comes with instructions on how to remove the old grille (link below). I would recommend getting a plastic trim removal tool as it makes removing the grille much easier, without the risk of damaging anything.
