Rear screen washer not working

Hi,

Just noticed today that my rear screen washer on my Rapid is not working, when the column stalk is activated I can hear the pump motor whirring but no washer fluid is getting to the rear wiper, the front wash wipe is working fine, I'm wonder if the inlet pipe to the motor has come adrift as the pump seems to be spinning faster than normal. Can anyone tell me how I can get to the motor to sort this out ?

Many thanks.

I've just noticed the same problem of rear water not flowing through rear water jets on my 3 year old Rapid. The pump is working. I've cleared the jets with a narrow pin to no effect, but can see that water is trying to escape so I now feel the blockage is further back down the tube.

How do I remove the inside rear plastic panel that covers the wiper motor / water jets so I can check out the tubes?  I've also heard that there is a join in the tube located somewhere under the rear seat but have not been able to locate it - any support is appreciated as I believe that Skoda will charge for unblocking pipes - even if the car is still on its last few days under warranty. not a valid warranty claim

Mine is doing exactly the same - 18 month old Rapid Hatch.

Been out with a couple of colleagues and some trim pullers and managed to get the bootlid inner trim panel off - it's all dry in there.

Over on the Octavia Mk2 part of this page there is a similar post and a similar issue - the first fix is to pull the washer jet off (it's a push fit) and soak it clean in warm water to clear any blockage). I'm going to try that first before I go back to the Dealer...

so, I just popped off the washer nozzle (flipped up the plastic cover covering the wiper arm spindle) - nozzle is push fit. I then ran the washer pump and, after a few splutters as it purged what I assume was a load of gunk in the pipe, I got a 4 feet high vertical jet. I blew through the nozzle to clear it, popped it back on, reassembled and... presto! working rear wash/wipe
