Selling Already

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had to sell theirs yet. Unfortunately mine has to go already. My job is kindly sending me overseas for 3 years which was completely unexpected and I don't have a choice really. Car is a PCP deal for 3.5 years, so I have my settlement quote, just wondered if anyone else has had to sell and did you loose much?

Spoke to Skoda Finance and car can only be taken out the country for max 60 days per year. Also PCP contract ends 3 months before we're due back in the UK. Can't transfer finance contract to anyone either.

That is a shame. I presume since your company are sending you that you are not going to be out of pocket.

Don't think mrmulti works for a company, Could be military.

Shame to lose money as with all new car purchases. However if post #6 is correct then I'm sure any loss will be compensated over the 3 years by LOA and a tax free car...

Post 6 would be correct. Lol.

The allowances arnt as good as they used to be unfortunately. There is only one bad thing about this move and that's giving up the car. I actually really love this car. By far the best one I've had yet. It's one of the buy any car companies that are offering the best price so far. Means losing about a grand though. Waiting on dealer hopefully coming back with a better price.

Either way, tax free and LOA aside, there's the sheer hassle of import and export, building no claims etc. As long as it's not Naples, which I suspect not. There have been cases of locals crashing their cars into non-locals and trying to rob the incapacitated occupants.

Yeah, Cyprus for three years. Might have a look for a new tax free one before i return back to the UK. But with the discounts from brokers in this country at the moment, and the fact it wouldn't be an import, I'll just have to wait and see at the time.

In the mean time if you know anyone wanting to buy a Superb in Scotland, that's only been run in. Give me a shout.

Cheers Guys

LOA has been pretty pants though just picked up a touch last few months, still nout what it was 7 years ago though.

Tax Free is still good though plenty of hoops to jump through. I'll be picking mine up on Tues afternoon. Its a keeper as there is no money in swapping yearly like there was 5 years ago (if only a little profit / break even) unless you have deep pockets and want a Jag or RangeRover!!
