Waxaddict Products - Information & Reviews

Recommended Posts

I have recently made good friends with a chap locally. Very keen and active on the Detailing scene.

He is a big Waxaddict fan and has lent me a couple of products to test out over the Bank Holiday weekend.

First up.... i have a tub of Waxaddict Vitreo wax to trial soon. No time at the weekend to look at this though.

Picture from my friends review..... nice beads and a doddle to use

So next up - i did have time to try the Waxaddict Fo'Show spray wax...

Website Blurb:

Waxaddict Foshow Extreme Gloss Spray Wax 500ml

The Waxaddict Foshow Extreme Gloss Spray Wax 500ml is a super extreme gloss spray that is safe to use on top of wax or use as a stand alone product. The coating is very hydrophobic meaning water repels quickly and water beads are tall and round, just spray and wipe to reveal the ultimate wet look and protection

Waxaddict Foshow Extreme Gloss Spray Wax 500ml Extra Info
  • Emulsified in water with no alcohol, ipa or solvent
  • Hydrophobic coating

Even better - available at Halford's and in the 3 for 2 deal!

Very easy to use..... and in fact 3 application methods as below.... i opted for method 2:-

1.Wet Application: After washing and rinsing spray directly onto wet paintwork. Dry as normal then buff with a clean microfibre after 5-10 mins.
2.Max Gloss: After washing and drying spray onto each panel, wipe, allow to haze slightly and buff. Repeat as needed.
3.Max Performance: Spray directly onto the cloth, wipe over the panel and allow to haze for 5-10 mins. Buff away with a clean dry microfibre.

Don’t over buff, or use pressure. Don’t use on glass.

I've ordered some Foshow but before placing my order sent them a question regarding the difference between this and Magicglaze. I got a friendly and full response within the hour. Seems customer service is also part of their brand

Thanks for sharing Ste!

Richard left me a sample of this as you know & highly rates the Wax addict gear!

Looking forward to getting round to washing the vRS as it's looking a bit worse for wear...

No problem mate.

Richard is a real Waxaddict fanboy for sure.... and is slowly collecting all the main contenders on the wax front;

i have already started doing some swaps with him to compare with both BMD and Definitive Wax products.

Great fun!

Hi Ste,

I'm pretty sure I've said on here before but I'm a huge fan of their products.

I currently have the shampoo, QD, Fo Show, tyre dressing and quartz wax which I use on a regular basis.

I rate them all highly and they are my go to, maybe apart from the QD where Adams is so tough to beat.

Going to do the mini in quartz so when I get that sorted I'll post up a review in this thread.

Hey Ben - thanks for the comment mate. Completely missed you were a Waxaddict fan....

Quartz is the one that caught my eye for sure..... but a bit expensive to dive in there.

So definitely looking forward to your mini-review as and when you get a chance. ;)

Many thanks Buddy.

Cheers,

Ste.

Got round to trying the Fo' Show detailer this afternoon. All I could be bothered doing if I'm honest due to having severely bruised ribs!

Maintenence wash & Fo' Show. Stunning results for 2 hours work. In my top 5 QD'S with out doubt! fa30d534007bb995007bc6a87d1a2c53.jpga77f1a78ba72ea20a8d4a841dc23a777.jpge21baa2aad5ed22af6ac10256b2d91a6.jpg

Further to the FoShow comments above..... had a look in Halford's to see what Waxaddict stuff was filling the shelves...

Spotted this....

http://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/shampoo-polish-wax/magicglaze-wet-look-wax-sealant

Anyone used it as yet. £5 for the 500ml bottle seems very cheap.

Sorry to say - that must have been a webpage error or something; was £5 for 500ml last night and first thing today.

One of my mates went to order and price has gone upto £8 now. So either web error or limited launch qty price???

I haven't used this but I asked Waxaddict what the difference was between this and Foshow. I've posted their reply below in case anyone else was wondering

Magicglaze Wet Look Wax vs Foshow! Both share our unique waterbased VOC free wax technology, both are pH7 and safe on all painted surfaces, carbon, wraps, matte paint... and both are spray and wipe application. The major difference is the concentration; FoShow contains 40% more of the active ingredient so gives even deeper gloss and longer durability. The advantage of Magicglaze is its more affordable, easier to buff and also available in 5ltrs for maximum value for money! So if you want an awesome spray wax without breaking the bank then go for Magicglaze, if you want to be amazed with finish, beading and durability you should also try Fo'show!

  • 3 weeks later...

I've been a good boy this month  ......very tempted to purchase Waxaddict Quartz.

Anyone aware of any deals at the moment?

Cheers,

Ste.

You know it makes sense mate!!

Not aware of any deals but probably best to contact waxaddict directly they will probably do you something. Or maybe iShine with a discount code?

I really rate the wax addict products it's a massive coup for them to have halfords as a reseller, I have used the viteo wax and its a great easy to use product with great results, also the fo show Qd is very underrated the best thing about this Qd is that it's not crammed full of ipa & silicone like most others which means it doesn't effect the wax you've got on your car but still produces a great gloss and beading abilities.

Totally agree Mick....

I have borrowed Waxaddict Vitreo for a test and was highly impressed by the ease of use and results.

Fo'show QD is now part of my detailing armoury for sure - especially in the 3 for 2 at Halford's.

...and just been offered a stunning price on Quartz by Simon at iShine! ;)

Nice one ste let me know how you get on with Quartz, the Fo Show seems the obvious choice especially as some of you guys on the section are using the higher end of waxes the Fo Show just compliments them rather than effects the wax. [emoji1303]

Seems that the iShine van has been in the workshop this week. So depending on whether or not it gets

back on the road today - i may have a delivery of some Waxaddict Vitreo and Quartz for the weekend.
