Waiting....

Recommended Posts

Ordered a 2016 Monte Carlo last week. I'm so bad at waiting, I've been trawling the Internet looking for things I might want to buy.....excited for it to arrive.

Couple of questions someone might be able to answer. Does the MC come with storage under the passenger seat? Is it possible to retro fit one, with the sports seats.

Are there any mud flaps on the market that fit? Will the ones that fit earlier mk3 MC variants fit the 2016 model?

Thanks

Isn't the MC just a Fabia...of whatever trim level...with some black bits and slightly different interior trim? Mechanically same as the rest, Hatch or Estate?

Will do. I'm going to phone this week and ask for mudflaps. They added mats as one if the 'sweeteners' but when browsing the brochure this week I notice the Monte comes with mats as standard. Sneaky. So I'm going to ask for mudflaps thrown in instead!

Still waiting. Was told 2-3 weeks. That was two and a half weeks ago. Still no news. I'm beginning to wonder if the quoted time was just to convince me to sign. Which is daft if it was the case, because I wanted the car whatever. If he had said 6-8 weeks I still would have signed up!

Just impatiently trawling through pictures and info online, gagging for mine to arrive!

Hoped that might work......got the call today, it's here. Signed paperwork this afternoon. Pick up Saturday. Woohoo!

Hope your enjoying your new car, mate.

Can I ask a favour? Which mud flaps did you get and can you post a picture of your car with them? I don't have anything but like yourself it gets bogging round here during winter!

Also, you does anyone know if they are easy enough to install?

Thanks,

Alex. :)

Re mudflaps: I bought a set of rear mudflaps directly from the dealer, price 30 euros or thereabout. Installation was eazy-breezy: unscrew 2 screws in the wheel well, attach a clip, position the mudflap and screw the screws back in. I think it took me 15 minutes of which 10 was spent searching for the correct Torx bit :)

Hi Alex,

Installation sounds easy. I didn't have to do it in the end as the garage installed them before delivery free of charge.

Worried they might detract from look if car, but I don't think they do at all. To be honest I think they blend in and are barely noticeable.

Not posted pictures here before so hope this works.......

Got an email at lunchtime to say my car was status 30, so built and on its way to be shipped. Turned out that Dan the salesman had been away on training for 6 days so as he got further into his emails there was another to say my car (SE L Estate) is in the UK and as soon as he gets the 24hr notice he will be in touch. Hopefully that shouldn't be too long
