Hi, Ive searched the forum but cant find any mention other than timing chain recall but mine is a 2012 yeti so not affected? the problem,- in first, second and even third there is a noise from the engine that sounds like I've thrashed it to the top of the gears but I hadn't, in order to get no noise I virtually have to creep up through the gears till fourth gear and from then on it appears ok. Ive had the car from new and have now done 23k, any idea's please?

Hi Friends, i took the beast to Hayes Skoda at Clacton for them to have a listen and look, very helpfull people, they have diagnosed that its the water pump [bearings] its now booked in to be fitted with new water pump next week, so we shall see, thanks for all replies.

Just an update, ive had the water pump changed and the horrible noise has completly dissapered, Hayes garage were very good [skoda dealership] and i got a 45% reduction on the bill because of 'goodwill' as i had always had skoda servicing from new March 2012, i actually paid £119 which i think was pretty good really?
