GSM antenna

Recommended Posts

This could be a stupid question, but I'm going to throw it out there as I can't seem to find an answer I understand.

I've just bought a 3c8***e Bluetooth module and "plug and play" wiring. I trial fitted it all and the bolero recognised there was something there as pressing the "phone" button doesn't mute the music. Unfortunately nothing connects.

As my car is 2010, I think it may need coding but wondering if the fact I don't have the GSM antenna make a difference? Is this what connects the phone to the module?

TIA

The GSM antenna simply acts as the antenna for the 0hone signal. But you need to pair the phone first before that becomes an issue. Have you got maxidot as you need it for pairing?

Yes the phone cannot find the Bluetooth and vice verser. I wasn't sure if no antenna was the issue. I do have maxidot, no mfsw. I only know how to use the maxidot to scroll through the car stats.

Thanks for the replies. Appreciate the help

Its not the antenna ans you dont need one if you use the non premium connection. You pair via the telephone menu in maxidot. It should be right at the top where you can select settings and the audio information.

Its probably because the gateway needs coding to enable the phone with VCDS. Once this is done you will be good to go.
