Fabia VRS 2005 Coolant (correct) level...

When stone cold the G13 coolant level sits on minimum level mark, in the expansion tank.

The Haynes manual (which does not cover the VRS) states, when cold level should be between the minimum level mark and the maximum level mark..

That is a rough difference of an inch in the two levels.

I would have thought the maximum level would be correct when engine was cold??

Please advise with your knowledge..

'Min' or just above is perfect.

If you fill to 'Max' as many do including Trained Technicians at services the car will find the correct level often,

ie just above MIN.

If there was a 'Fill to the Level',  then Skoda / VW could mark that on the Filler Bottle.

yeah fill to minimum as the coolant will expand with heat and end up around the max mark I expect. If you do fill to the max mark it doesn't really matter as if its too full it will overflow when hot and go back down to a suitable level
