Mystery in New Yeti Armrest

Have recently taken delivery of a new Yeti 1.2 TSE 110 SE. When trying to personalise the car I found inside the armrest/storage box situated between the front seats something of a mystery.  In the centre of the opened box is a black shaped plastic piece shaped a little like a bottle opener which moves up and down. I cannot see why it is there or for what purpose- neither can the main Skoda dealer . Any thoughts people ????

It a vent and lets cooled air into the box if your AC is set to cool.

It is as softscoop says. I wondered as well with our last one and pulled it a bit too hard. It came out and wouldn't go back so don't do that.  :D

Find another main Skoda dealer? Because if they didn't know this (and it's come up on this forum several times in the past) they aren't going to have a clue if you get a real problem.

Owner's manual? You mean they actually supply a manual as well? Like... Like, what you can read and like find stuff out about the car?

Wow, amazing.

I think the air feed is taken after the air con evaporator and before the heater matrix so that whatever you have the heat setting on it always blows cool air into it? I've always had a cool glove box regardless of heat setting

Don't mention instruction book mine supplied with new car was incorrectly bound  completely in random sequence so trying to find anything in

the index or the booklet is a nightmare. Dealer has informed Skoda UK - I am hoping to get a replacement !!!!! has driving me mad

I've also mentioned this to Skoda UK. You will see from other posts that this is a 'feature' of all recently delivered Yeti's. I call it the 'Eric Morecambe edition' - it has 'all the right pages, but not necessarily in the right order'. If we all get a new hand book I'll be amazed.

Also amazed that nobody at Skoda UK has spotted this (or perhaps they have, but decided to do nothing about it).
