Michelin Cross- Climates in 18in

Recommended Posts

Just noticed that Cross-Climates are now available in 225/40 R18 92Y. Has anybody tried them in this size and how are they performing?

That's really good news - I will look to get them next once my Vredestein Quatracs have worn out!

Hi Matt

How have your found the Quatracs? They are my fall back option if I can't get the CrossClimates before my current F1's wear out.

Hi. They are excellent all round apart from noise - if you can bear a bit more noise then they are good tyres.

Thanks Matt, whats wear like? I got around 25k miles out of the F1's, my superb is 4x4 so wear is very even especially as i rotate every 5k miles

Hi again. I've done about 8,000 miles so far and the wear rate is very good indeed i'd suggest.

Hadn't heard of these before you guys posted about them.

They certainly seem a good option when replacement comes around (I'm on the stock Pirelli Cinturato P7 Ecoimpacts Skoda sent the car with).

The review here http://www.evo.co.uk/features/15600/michelin-cross-climate-vs-winter-and-all-season-tyres  tries them on Skoda Octavia's, on an artificial ski slope, and they review/score very well.

Just looking at them, I'd have dismissed them as probably high wear and noisy. Definitely seems I'd have been wrong on both counts.
