Recommended Posts

Ok I have in the past repaired and then replaced the drivers door lock, I have also done the strip down and clean the connector to the window motor, I haven't touched the loom but that is because it was all ok last time I looked (about four years ago

So the question is what is involved in using golf motor? 1J2959802C seems to be the same part and I know I need to transfer coding ad listed in the scan above but will CCU take golf part connecting to it?

Golf mk4 window motors won't fit Octavia as far as I know. I'm sure they're mounted differently. All those faults normally point to corroded pin in the loom plug and control unit on the motor.

Ok stripped the door down and got the connector off, still full of proper electrical silicone sealer from last time, no sign of pooled water. Got the connector separated from the window motor and it still has all its pins, gave a few of them another clean. Put it all back together and it seems to be back to how it was previously, IE drivers door not locking in central locking and drivers door mirror not working. And the codes above. Stripped the door jam apart and loom looks ok so I guess the original problems are down to the CCU?

Not had the connector out from the CCU yet. Had a good look at the cables where they go through the two grommets in the door and the pillar but not the end. Does it suffer corrosion or other problems?
