New Citigo DRL's

Hyphons

Recommended Posts

I believe the DRLs in place of the front foglights have been an option for some time.  It was something I spec'ed on my new Citigo as I rarely used the front foglights on my other cars and hope that the LEDs will last a lot longer than the conventional DRL bulbs.

Of course, to the uninitiated it probably now looks like I'm one of those idiots who drives around with my front foglights on the whole time in an attempt to look cool :notme:

Funny advert that! But yeah, when I was ordering my car, the DRLs in place of the fog lights was an option, but I didn't pay for it because I like having fog lights!

In the dark roads I drive around here where they're full of potholes, I find having fog lights turned on can highlight those pot holes that the main beam didn't show up. However, I only use them when I know 100% for certain there's nobody around!

Fog lights can be invaluable i find when you have to crawl at around 10-20 mph when there really is Fog and you can not just park up but need to try and continue a journey.

They are a functional fitment rather than a stylee thing, but many never grasp that fact.

Skoda in 2010 for some reason decided that Fog Lights as a standard fitment or an option on the most expensive and fastest Fabia

were not required. Instead some stupid DRL Units were fitted that as DRL's or even when less bright as sidelights are mistaken as

a car d!ck with Fog Lights on.

(Skoda did print for 4 years Brochures and say on Official Websites that the vRS had Front Fog Lights,

salespeople would even argue they had, they still advertise used cars as having Front Fog lights.)
