Engine bay detailing.

Recommended Posts

Probably one for the detailing section but as only a certain amount of people use it, thought I'd post here.

Any one pressure washed an engine bay at all with any problems. I have a Fabia vRS.

I can reach so far with a detailing brush but still not upto the standard I want.. the only way to get it looking brand spanking new is going to be a pressure wash but **** scared of something going wrong.

Any advice would be helpful. Something I've not done before in a detailing routine so..

Fire away!

I've used our diesel steam/jet wash (90°) at work loads of time on both fabia vrs mk1 and mk2 vrs.

I've also make sure the engine is hot and running and don't go to close. I usually use apc with a detailing brush then use the jet wash. I leave the engine running for about 5-10 minutes afterwards to dry.
