Are Eibach Lowering springs/ coilovers approved by Skoda?

Recommended Posts

Were these lowering springs or coilovers? How much were they?

springs, these were a special order at the time?? as the 40mm ones didn't list on the site?

think I paid £200 fitted as I was having other things done at the time, but this was on a Monte (I assume the Vrs will be the same?)

Got ya. I just got some H&R's for a decent price, so will fit them myself. Eibach's would have been nice as they are (as I've now found out) approved by Skoda. On the plus side 40mm drop for a bargain price isn't bad at all! Thanks for the info

Do you have a CAVE Engine vRS?

Do you have a warranty still that you were bothered about?

You just fit what ever you want and do not claim any warranty if something went wrong, not that Springs gives reason to claim on anything.

If you have a car over 4 years old on the original dampers and you are putting the 40 mm drop you might want to replace the dampers.

No warranty. CAVE engine. December 2010. What dampers would you recommend?

I can thoroughly recommend Bilstein B8s. Far more controlled damping than standard. I've got them paired with the Eibachs, others have had very good results with the 40mm H&Rs. Don't expect a Rolls Royce smooth ride but it will be far more composed if a little harsh at times.
