Thule Roof Bars

Having managed to get the Thule 127cm square bars locally from eBay, I thought I was set to go fitting my 755 feet from my old Octavia.

However, it seems that the jaws don't open wide enough and that, even if they did, the profile doesn't look quite right. Maybe the Yeti roof bar profile is different to the Octavia?

Looks like I'll have to 'invest' in a set of 775 feet as per the Thule site unless anyone has any suggestions?

I found exactly the same thing and ended up getting the 775, which will fit pretty much any raised roof rails. I still have the other foot pack somewhere.

Sorry to jump in here. But it is a roof bar/rail question.

On the Roof Rails there are 2 sets of pre drilled holes on each side rail.

Does anyone make Cross bars to fit here. (bolt on)

Or, is it best to have Clamp on bars??

Thanks

CD

I am just waiting for my Octavia estate to be built and arrive, and will plan to use roof bars. My current car is a Yeti and have the Thule clamps. Do you want to swap?

They're designed for the Skoda OEM bars. I know of no other brand which would fit. Some folks like the Thule and other types as they can extend beyond the car rails, thus catering for multi-loads.

Otherwise, it's personal choice/budget. I like the OEM's for the neat fitting. But we only need to cater for a roofbox.
