How do you know if you have maxidot?

Recommended Posts

I'd like to be able to unlock all doors with one press- and I gather you need maxi dot.

Mine looks like the one I've attached.

Where do I access the menu (Scout, 2007 model if it helps)

Thanks!

You've got maxidot.  It's a dot matrix display shown by the car logo.  I don't have one installed yet so I'm not sure how you do it via maxidot, but certainly on the FL at least, you can do it via VCDS or Carista.  I've done it on mine.

On my FL there were plenty of options related to windows/doors, I think. At least you can try...

How to access it? I think it was accessable by pressing the button on the very end of the windscreen wiper lever.

You cannot access it while driving :)

It may be possible with your car.

Hold down one of the buttons on the end of the wiper stalk and go to settings.

If you have a convenience menu, then you can alter the setting yourself.

I wonder if the attached one has a maxi dot display and could work with MFSW?

That's not a maxidot.

You need a part ending 843 rather than 803.

Does it has something to do with the MFSW and Radio?

In another words, do I need a maxidot to get my MFSW buttons connected to the radio?

You should be able to control the radio using the MFSW without a maxidot.

However, if you have a FL MFSW without a maxidot, the right hand side won't function as they are used to control the maxidot.
