Removing dash vent

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Long story short - I've managed to lose something behind the air vent flaps (and mesh!) in my MY16 Citigo. I can hear it ratting and rolling around as I drive the car, and it is starting to get a little annoying.

Does anyone know of any way to remove the vents from the dash, so that I can get a vacuum cleaner (or whatever other appendage) down that to pull the object out? I want to avoid having to remove the whole dash, or having to take the car to a dealer and be charged the usual rates for my own stupidity.

Grateful for any help!

Edit: Forgot to mention MY.

Also of use, the third picture, might have to find a clip to push in to release the vent, so may be a case of find clip, push in and then pull the vent out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-UP-Dashboard-Air-Vent-1S0819703C-/121897418106?hash=item1c61a6fd7a:g:YUUAAOSwuAVWxFaf
