yeti windscreen washers

Strange that it's not mentioned in the manual, also noticed that there is not a fuse mentioned for the heated windscreen washer nozzles.

Hi Guys

Got this sorted-- Local dealer found the plug to the pump was loose and reconnected !!

I am intrigued as to how this happened as you all are aware how difficult it is to get at the reservoir tank

Fortunately fixed under warranty

Many thanks for all the suggestions

  • 4 weeks later...

Have just collected my new Yeti earlier this month and the reason I'm writing is in connection with a query that has come to light whilst reading the owners manual supplied with the vehicle (edition "Yeti anglicky 05.2016"):-

on page 67 at the top left hand side of the page under "i.Note" it states that "The windscreen washer nozzles for the windscreen are heated when the engine is running and the outside temperature is less than +10°C.
My question is - are these heated washer nozzles a standard fitting on all Yeti models as the manual doesn't list which models this sentence refers to?

Doesn't the manual usually state "for those vehicles fitted with....."?

I think the old manuals did that more than the new ones do.  I've got quite confused about whether items were fitted or optional and only after getting the car worked out what was standard to my model.

I know it's a pet hobby horse with me right now but I find the Radio/Nav handbooks really bad as they cover a range of fitted devices sometimes not being particularly clear as to what is fitted and working in one as opposed to not fitted in another.  Even when they do clearly state which radio/Nav they are talking about I find it very disjointed to read having to skip whole paragraphs in order to get to where I want to be.  I'm going to use a fluorescent maker to highlight the headings for my system to make reading it easier. Now, that would have been useful to have had them do when they printed the manual?

Thanks everyone for your input - unfortunately the manual doesn't use the phrase "for those vehicles fitted with" in most of the sections of the manual, although there are references to certain topics that are obviously relevant to certain models, e.g. DSG not manual, diesel not petrol, 4WD not 2WD, etc.

I agree with ernieb about the marker pen idea, although in my case I've gone through all 200 pages, highlighting with a red biro and a ruler instead (old fashioned habits die hard!).
