Which colour for the grill

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've just bought a 09 vrs limited edition.

I really don't like the chrome grill and can't decide what colour to with it.

I've seen that most people tend to paint the grill black.

I've also had ideas of painting it grey.

I'm just not sure if it will suit a grey car.

Has anyone got any pics of the LE with some mods?

I'm also thinging of putting the super skoda rear diffusers and a front splitter on it in the near future.

Thanks.

There was someone on here who had the top part painted body colour and the rest black. Looked good. Unless your car is black I don't think it looks quite right if the grill is all black.

Thanks for your help guys.

I think I will get it colour coded to match the grey car.

And I will go with a gloss black or satin black for the rear diffusers.

Have even toyed with the idea of fitting a FL bumper to improve the looks of the front end of the car, as for some reason I am really fond of the FL bumper with a pre FL headlights

They look great.

My car is the pre FL limited edition version with Audi rotor alloys which I intend to paint in silver.

I stole this pic of someone else's LE off google with the grill wrapped in black.

I think I will get the grill colour coded at some stage.

But for now I decided I couldn't look at the chrome any longer.

So I had a can of satin black and a can of Matt lacquer in the shed.

This seemed to work and it kept the sheen to a minimum with a little extra protection from stone chips.

That number plate lets the front end down now ,i got some road legal pressed steel plates it lifts the front end and freshens it up for only a few quid.
