CG Shampoo Anyone Used?

Hi Detailing Buddy's  B)

I washed the Vrs on Sunday just gone & noticed that I'm running very low on shampoo, now I mainly use Meguiars Gold class or the Meguiars Ultimate wash n wax, sometimes I use the EZ shampoo (red bottle & blue bottle) which I actually do like a lot  but you can never have enough of detailing stuff on your shelf, even if its just for show or to just fill a space on the shelf ;)

But I came across this video on youtube

& actually thought to give the CG shampoo range a try out, I purchased the following CG shampoo from CYC

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/car-wash-shampoos/chemical-guys-maxi-suds-ii/prod_165.html

I would be interested in any comments from anyone that has used or currently use any on the CG shampoo listed above.

Thanks

I use Citrus Wash & Gloss and I love it and will buy again. It's easily up there with the best of them and it's very economical too.

I've also used Auto Finesse Lather and funnily enough I didn't rate it at all, it did the job I just found myself constantly wanting to grab a different bottle.

Cheers for the info guys, very appreciated, its good to know that CG products offer value for money, I always normally use Meguiars shampoo which I absolutely love but only buy it when Halfords do the 3 for 2 offer, just thought to try something different, a break from the norm.

Kinda bought more on impulse rather than browse around at other shampoos etc but its good to know that the CG products will perform, can't wait for Sunday now :)

You can't go wrong with CG products, some of the best value for money stuff on the market.

I used Wash 'n' Gloss for years, have experimented with a variety of other shampoo's but will go back to CG when I need to re stock.

Used Maxi Suds II today & found it to be a very decent shampoo, cleaned the car with great results, no streaking or water spots, will definitely use it again, Just deciding if I actually prefer to the Meguiars Ultimate Wash n Wax (need to use it a few times more to make my mind up) but so far I can't complain :)

I'm using CG, citrus wash and gloss (concentrate) from the past few months.

I've also used meguirs california gold wash.

I found the CG to give more suds than meguir's . CG is a concentrate so it will last long and that's the only idea.

After trying out both, i can say , it really is one's choice as both are equally good .

I chose CG because it would last a few months more since its concentrate and that's about the only buying decision i made when it came to the two

Like with most things and detailing isn't much different, it's subjective. I have 3 or 4 bottles of Shampoo and they are all equally brilliant and I'd find it hard to choose between them. CG make good, affordable products but so do many other company's.

If it works for you that's all that matters.

Cheers for all the recommendations & advice on the CG shampoo line guys ;) I was going to purchase citrus wash n gloss today but in the end after watching a few YouTube vids & looking around online etc. I decided to go with GlossWorkz shampoo.

Let me know what you think of the GlossWorkz, I was going to initially buy that stuff but the positive reviews on CYC swayed my decision. I'm also nearly out of wash & gloss so I'll replace with the same or maybe try something different.

  • 2 weeks later...

Update of CG GlossWorkz, washed the vRS on Sunday using CG GlossWorkz & I find this shampoo amazing, perfectly formed suds & I used 1 & half ounce of shampoo, the lubricity of the water is very soft & the suds water just glides, I can definitely say that I have found my new shampoo for future use.
