Who is doing the diagnostics?

I sincerely hope the car is under warranty - to pay for that lot with no closure to the problem is criminal. Do make sure you have redress for what appears to be a misdiagnosis.

My 1.6 TDI CR90 also had two turbos, and egr valves in an effort to overcome warning lights on dash - as an additional pain it went frequently into limp mode (very dangerous in my opinion).

After two years of hassle I gave up, and traded the car in for a new 1.2 TSI.

When my diesel was resold, the next owner reported later that it had come to a complete standstill on the M5. This time the wiring loom was changed, and all has been well since that time apparently.

Two EGR's, new turbo + other things suggests to me that guessology is at work here. Despite all the diagnostic equipment - remember it is only as good as the operator.

my old Octavia (did 235,000 miles from new with it)I had a few issues, all of which I traced to worn / broken wires

needle lift sensor on injector (wires worn through and shorted sensor) repaired wires, added additional insulation all ok for over 100,000 miles until sold

anti shudder valve failure (the 4 wires up to it, two broken the rest badly worn) soldered in 2 inches of new wire into the 4 wires, covered solder joins with heat shrink and put a larger section of heat shrink over repaired section for resilience and wear resistance, ok for over 150,000 thousand miles until sold

reversing light failure, wires broke near plug for gearbox switch, repaired wires all ok, had to repair again later

all areas seems to have failed due to lack of support in areas subject to vibration, you could see wire vibrating when the engine was idling

worth looking at the wiring to the relevant sensors
