The one from Huddersfield - Craig Nettleton, at Auto Solutions - he has just done one for me a, 3 button cut/coded for a Polo 6R, but not sure if he would do St.Annes. May be worth the OP contacting him as he does travel.

That chap who does key cutting on here not around anymore?

Username was Actionman39 or something along those lines, that's who cut and coded my second key.

I don't have his number anymore unfortunately though.

Think his name was Craig.

Got mine done at a local locksmith for £80.

I've found a local ( possibly EU migrant) who would cut a key for me without chip data ( one for Swimbo to open doors etc, to replace the one she lost, so if she lost another, the car could be opened, but not driven away), for around £15, and a fully working chipped key for £40 . So it might be worth looking around.

Try Timpsons at yr local Tesco's.

They will only cut there own keys...

So you cant buy and take a blank key, they said the Bull **** reason is that the poor metal quality bought on ebay breaks and leaves them liable, im sure they use the same crap quality but this way they make more selling there own over priced keys

They don't always cut car keys either, I'm sure I asked them before

There is a place in St Neots called blackwolf or something, I know they can cut the VW key ( couldn't cut it perfect first time, had to smooth it out a bit, but they did sort it in the end).

That coupled with basic immob chip bought from hickleys and alarm key reprogram. Its possible with the right VCDS coding group, not too difficult. I did mine in full with alarm and immob for circa £20 ish on parts and labour. If you can get it done cheaper than that (with a new key provided) you are robbing them and should be ashamed of yourself :D

Certainly not worth the £100s the dealers charge, but if you don't know what you are doing then £40 sounds pretty honest ( provided you don't leave them to code a 2nd key for themselves and come back for the car, lol ).

Whilst waiting for car parts I overheard a conversation involving someone unfortunate to have had stolen their final set of keys for an astravan. £400 was mentioned at the Doncaster dealership. This was for coded keys.
