Ode to my Furby vRS.

And now, the end is near; 
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear, 
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

We've lived a life that's full.
We've traveled each and every highway; 
And more, much more than this, 
We did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few; 
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception.

I planned each charted course; 
Each mapped out step along the byway, 
And more, much more than this, 
We did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt, 
I ate it up and spit it out.
We faced it all but I stood tall; 
And did it any way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of winning.
And now, as tears subside, 
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that; 
And may I say - not in a shy way, 
"Oh no, oh no not me, 
We did it my way".

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not his Furby, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels; 
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows we took the blows -
And did it any way! 

Yes, it was my way.

After five years of fun and fraught moments the Furby has gone. 

She was 13 years old and it was getting to the silly stage trying to keep it immaculate.

It had turned into a money pit sadly, and Swmbo has finally put her foot down as, I was spending more time in the garage fettling it than I have spent with her recently.

If only they still made them, I'd have bought another but that time has gone.

 

I'll be picking up the Swift Sport on Thursday or Friday (depends how quickly they can get the alloys refurbed),

so I'll have a lump in my throat at the thought of paying for all that extra petrol. But at the same time looking forward to only having to worry about washing and polishing the damned thing, lol.

 

I still be lurking in the background though and keeping an eye on my favourite forum.
