boot switch

Hi All,

 

Our boot only opens with the key fob switch so I took off the trim and changed the switch (near the number plate lights) but that hasn't fixed the problem. The wiper works.

 

I have VCDS and there are no faults - What shall I try next?

Just changed the lock mechnism (1Z5827501) too and that hasn't worked......

in case this sheds any more light, the boot  intermittedly struggled to slam shut for a while before the switch stopped working. I would try to shut the boot and it wouldn't latch shut. I would have to repeatedly try and close and after two or three goes it would eventually shut. Switch worked at this point then switch stopped working but now shuts fine (after opening with fob).

 

Will start checking wires.....
