So as a few of you may know I decided to upgrade to a newer Octavia...

Dec 2009 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI Facelift

53k on it and came with the usual spec of dual climate control, cruise control etc. but it also has full black leather :D

Of course I can't leave anything alone for long so I sent it off to the bodyshop to get the front grill colour coded and the wheels refurbed and now it looks like this...

Got the wheels done a lovely dark metallic grey. Looks darker in my phone photos so I'll have to get some proper photos taken with my DSLR.

Future plans are to lower it a touch and maybe change the wheels in the new year :)

Cheers,

Aaron

looks good mate :)

i plastidipped my front grill but now want to get it sprayed black by a bodyshop, maybe do the wingwirrors black too and put some updated badges on the front and back

mine is on bilstein b12 suspension, really gives more confidence in corners and is a touch lower than stock

Very nice Andy :D

I've got some fancy BC Racing coilovers bought for mine already but I'm dubious about fitting them when the salt is all over the roads for winter lol

fair play, i have coilovers on the fabia but wanted something a bit more forgiving for my daily haha

I've had these coilovers before on a Passat and an A3 and they are very comfortable when set up correctly. Damping adjustable, camber adjustable and height is adjusted seperately from the spring preload so they always have full damper travel at whatever height you set them at. It's brilliant! :D

they look pretty sexy... to be fair the ones on my fabia are a bit budget so i probably dont have a good basis to go off of haha

Well last night I attempted to change my headlight bulbs, sidelight bulbs and indicator bulbs.

Took me half an hour to get the drivers side headlight released but the passenger side just wouldn't budge, so I ended up refitting the drivers light and threw the new fancy bulbs into the glove box  :D

Might give it another go at lunch time

Well it wasn't raining yesterday so I managed to get the bulbs all changed. Far better light off the new ones and the chrome indicator bulbs look nicer too :)

...although I soon figured out why my sidelight bulbs weren't working...they aren't wired up on a VRS :(

Hello everyone. Finally got round to fitting the coilovers over the Christmas holidays there.

Please excuse the dirt and reverse rake. Haven't got round to fine tuning the stance yet or washing it with the awful weather :/

Hoping to get a set of these next month to fill the arches...

Got the Octavia all cleaned up yesterday morning for a local Cars & Coffee meet. Loving how it's sitting at the minute.

Wheels are also ordered so looking forward to getting them fitted soon. Went for 19 x 8.5j wheels ET38 all round with 225/35/19 Kumho tyres :D

Also loving the new site!

So finally got my plate transferred onto the car and added more front camber to give me more clearance, think I need to drop the rear a bit but I really need to go find some proper flat ground and make my mind up there.

Also gave it a bath yesterday :)
