Don't agree with abusive phone calls, bang out of order but I have bought two Columbus radios from members ( one developed a expensive fault so was sold for spares ) and currently have one for sale. On both occasions I have had a " code " on a card with the radio! I was confident that both were genuine, even saw original bill of sale for the last one so perhaps these " cards" were handed out?

You are right to raise concerns over payment, I met in person so that I knew I had the goods before handling the money over.

Mr Mike, I don't have to explain or prove anything for you, but just for the record, because for some reason you  had chosen me from the big list on this board who sells  the unit.

1. If you don't get the card in UK, it doesn't mean you can't get one in VW/Skoda Europe. Have you ever had any new unit from vw skoda seat not from the car? Just as a part? Also, look on eBay, all units comes with the cards. So in your theory, all units are stolen on eBay?

2. Paypal gift thing. Everyone wants to buy as cheap as possible. Right? No fees for me, lower price for you. I think it is legit. I always agree for a standard payment if a buyer pay the fees. it is even better for me, can order courier straight from PayPal, lol. Collection from HOME is welcome. Few local guys from this forum have collected bluetooth kits, so I don't hide.

Anyway, I have 1 unit for sale and trying to sell it maybe for 3 or 4 months with no luck, so do you think I am so dumb to put stolen goods on the net and hold it for 3-4 months?

P.S I don't have your mobile phone number, and haven't called you, even wouldn't had seen your message, but gets the notifications every Sunday, thanks God. Also I agree with caller  about accusation that the Columbus units being advertised were stolen, just don't understand why me? I can see here ppls who has loads of units to offer.

Have a nice Sunday evening and thanks for the free bump.

I thank you all for your vigilance.

I'm with Mike in his intentions, we have a collective duty to enquire and raise awareness.

Better to ask the questions than be the chump who didn't. The internet hasn't changed the basic premise, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. Ask questions until you're happy.

These head units, in general terms, are known to be a source of risk, in various forms.

However, we shouldn't let doubt block the path to a good deal. We should, however, ensure as a buyer you're happy; not :$$$: giddy, before handing over hard earned cash.

I never advise anyone to use paypal gift, no matter the cost.

This is all just general commentary and observations from afar. I'd welcome any further info from the seller in an email to colin[@]briskoda.net, mostly for the use of the term "stock" ;) I can then clean up as required.

Bump. Had some problems with family, so was inactive. Let make the deal for the briskoda members, 300 collected from Leeds or 320 delivered plus fees if PayPal. Looks like a bargain to me. There is  SKZ number on the unit, you can take it and call Skoda to check it if its blacklisted before buying etc.
