DRL's are not going to be on when the Headlights are surely, and Fog Lights are not going to be on when DRL's are, are they.

Does anyone really care the colour of Fog lights since it is Foggy when they are on and function over style is the important thing.

(Why there used to be Yellow Fog lights, they worked.)

Because too many folk drive around with the fogs on all the time, regardless of conditions :D

If I want to see where I'm going, I have no choice other than to use the fog lights!

Has anyone got any further information on upgrading all of the front lights on the Monte Carlo?

I can see the HID kits for the main headlights but want to do them all so they are matching.

Any info would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

The Main headlights on the monte are projector lense based. They only require one H7 bulb each to run as the Dipped and High beam work using a shutter system rather than two separate bulbs. The side lights are 501 "Wedge" bulbs. The Front fogs are H8 bulbs and the Daytime running lights are 382 P21W bulbs.
I've changed every bulb front end bulb apart from the fogs on the Monte Carlo I have. The DRLs and Side lights are 6000k and the HIDs I've installed are 5000k.

Here's a picture with the HIDs and Side lights installed on my Monte. The 6000k CREE LED side lights seem to work well with the 35W 5000k HID Kit I have installed.

For changing the DRLs and fogs is pretty simple. The lower grill on each side pops off/out. With a bit of a tug unclipping it. There is then a small plastic lever/release to allow the lower light assembly be released and slide out where you can replace the bulbs as desired.

The Main headlights are a bit more of a pain. Especially if you have the Diesel as the Diesel filter is right in the way of the driver's side access so if possible loosen that off so it can move a bit more freely.
Else just remove the rubber boots behind each bulb and replace as required as well. If installing HIDs on the main H7s then you will need to cut a hole in the back of each boot for the cables for the ballasts to be fed through.
Far as I know you can get replacement rubber boots for about £7 each from a main dealer if needed.

Yeah theyre about £7 each. I ordered 4 when i cut mine to fit hids.

Silver lights and i had hids in low and high beam at one point. Was like driving with the sun on the front of the car, but high beam soon gave up as they dont like cycling on/off.

Ive had 4300k hids in dip for a few years now. Theyre great.
