choices- yeti-vs octavia

We have a family conundrum we need a new car as our Fabia is too smalland too old to last much longer we have 2 boys.

 

Dad Likes the Octavia its smooth, economical and has space for many cricket bags in the back.

 

Mum Likes the Yeti because its higher, more robust and more versatile for driving.

 

our average drive is small commutes to work with longer trips to family and various cricket grounds.

 

we really would appreciate any thought people here have.

Lol don't envy you. Who will drive it more?

I personally think the yeti's are fugly, especially compared to the Octavia.

But since you can not see the outside when inside unless you look at your car in shop windows fugly hardly matters.

 

If you need bigger then best drive both cars with the family in.

The Yeti are soon to be no more as they are, and the Mk3 Octavia is getting a Face Lift so bargains are to be had.

Petrol choices for either model are OK & even the 1.0 TSI in the Octavia seems to suit some.

I think they are both pretty except the fugly mud colours they seem to like on the yeti :-S
