Help me choose - Bluetooth kit

I have recently bought a 2012 Yeti 1.2 SE that does not have Bluetooth fitted but has the phone button on the Bolero head unit.

Is retrofitting an oem unit the best way to go or go with something like a parrot wire in unit. (In previous cars I'd had pioneer head units with built in Bluetooth)

There are multiple different units available which is the best one to go for to enable control from the bolero head unit ( I am aware some coding will be needed to get it to work). I have the white maxi dot display which allows you to change some settings like convenience lights winter tyres etc

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I bought & fitted oem kits to our Yeti and Octavia which I bought from www.carsystems.pl who were very helpful. I asked them if the kits I chose were correct for the spec of the cars and they confirmed this prior to purchase. Fitting was simple and one of the cars didn't even need any coding afterwards.

Not a reply but a similar question. I have a 2013 Yeti S TDI CR that I fitted with a Swing radio unit, I want to upgrade to get a built in hands free kit ? possibly a smartlink compatable unit, I am completely confused about what would fit in the swing area or if my Yeti supports it. The swing is very basic just radio & CD, I don't seem to have a usb or smart phone point although I do have a 12v socket but that is near the gearstick, any advice or thoughts would be welcome.

Ours was the Yeti s too (2011). I swapped the swing for a bolero head unit which was a straight swap then got the car kit as above. Fitting was very straightforward and carsystems confirmed the kit I chose would work.

OEM every time don't bother with parrot.

It's easy to fit but more importantly integrates with the car perfectly especially if you have maxidot

That's become my way of thinking but there are 5N0 , 3C80 , 7P6 ,1K0 units , there's dension and fiscon units

Which do people have .. I noticed that there's a forum member Pashka selling a 7P6 C and 7P6 J unit in the forums.

If it helps with advice and suggestions I'll be using an iPhone 6s with the setup

Get an RNS 315 it has it built in , all you will require is an ome mic, and thats easily fitted, also includes sat nav, just make sure the maps are up to date when buying

Some have Bluetooth built in, but most don't. Be an expensive mistake to make if the one you buy doesn't have it.

Thanks but I wasn't looking to change the head unit like rustynuts points out get the wrong one and it's an expensive mistake ..

just looking to add Bluetooth capability to the existing head unit .. being the cheaper option for the time being as I don't have the money to replace the head unit

Which is the better unit for my needs

The 7P6035730 module , the 5K003573 module or the 3C8035730 module.

This for a Bolero head unit

In the end opted for a 7P6 035 730 M module and it looks to be working in the maxidot too, so I'm assuming that there must have been a Bluetooth installed previously.

Mine is a SWING radio . I have used the standard AUX input for connecting the Bluetooth kit Zaap V4.0 . It works well with no distortion and HiFi stereo .
