Alpine Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE / DVD screens) package for Octavia etc. and Columbus / RNS-510

Probably needs a bit of background :)

Wanted to fit rear screens into my Octavia. I know there are cheap and cheerful strap on options, or complete aftermarket headrests that can be swapped out, or (less convenient but ultimately better) a number of relatively cheap screens that could be hacked into your existing headrests.... but I aimed for the 'best' solution within reasonable financial sanity.

My plan: 2 screens in the back with a control box in the front. Control box allows input from my Columbus for quick and easy DVD piping to the rear, but also from any other AV source e.g. my mobile phone, so I'm not reliant on physical discs for the inevitable Peppa Pig it would get used for.

So, I have all the kit ready to go (bar a few standard RCA leads which will cost a few pounds) which has been sat doing nothing for about a year now - and I've just lost interest in doing it, mainly because I rarely use the car and even rarer still does it have my children sitting the back for any length of time.

I actually bought over and above what is needed so some can be sold on after the installation is complete or kept for spares etc.

What I am selling:

1) Two second hand Alpine TME-M680 monitors - generally good condition with signs of use/some small marks to the sides which will be hidden once installed. Each comes with a single control box. Unboxed, with required connecting leads and power leads (yes the connecting lead fits down an Octavia headrest pole). Bought from Ebay.

See: https://www.alpine.co.uk/p/Products/SingleView/TME-M680

2) One brand new of the same monitor, in original box, bought by me from Amazon. You only need one control box to output to 2 screens, so from items 1 and 2 you have 1 monitor and 2 control boxes spare.

Hard to find new nowadays, see: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Alpine-TME-M680-Wide-Screen-Monitor/dp/B004H0SSHQ

3) 1 single black leather headrest from an Octavia which I have had a play around with to experiment with fitting etc, plus 1 further matching pair also in black leather. The first was from a VRS, the second from an elegance but the shape is identical (and both match the headrests in my own VRS). These are quite rarely available as most sellers are reluctant to split them from a full interior (you may have seen an advert from me a number of months ago selling a leather interior minus the headrests - guess why). I *think* the Octavia headrests will fit in a number of other VAG cars including the Superb/other Golf Mk5 platforms etc. but you'd need to double check. Using a spare set of headrests means they are easily removed/sold on if you change your car in the future.

4) The lead you need to plug into the back of a Columbus / RNS510 to be able to send audio and video to the control box. There are a few companies that make them, mine is the 'VNS Media' version all the way from Poland:

All just needs wiring up and the screens fitting to the headrests - by yourself, or some companies will fit the screens for you by mail order.

I will not split - yet - but will probably go down the Ebay route if I do as individually it's all worth quite a lot of money.

All is sold as seen, but you're welcome to come and have a look (Bristol BS39).

I'm looking for £450 or a close offer, plus postage if you can't collect - bear in mind you'll have one Alpine screen with control box, plus one further control box to stick on Ebay yourself.

Any questions, please shout. If someone thinks they are suitably qualified to install this lot in my car then drop me a PM as I might just keep it yet (that's actually a serious offer)

Will post some pictures shortly.
