Amundsen vs Columbus

Hi guys!

What's a real difference between those two navi systems?

I would choose Amundsen over Columbus because:

I don't need DVD player.

Amundsen can stream movies to up to 2 tablets and Columbus can't.

I could easily survive with 2.5D view instead of 3D one.

Amundsen is updating maps via SD card and therefore can't update online but maps are updated twice a year so manual work would not be so hard.

There is no Google Maps/Street View but I could always use my smartphone.

And Amundsen can use 3g carstick to connect to Internet w/o using smartphone as a hotspot.

What else does Columbus have that Amundsen doesn't? For a such a huge price.

Does anybody know the price of Amundsen Internet carstick?

Columbus will have 9.2" in the near future and it currently has:

- 3D maps (Amundsen has 2.5D)

- online maps update (Amundsen has SD card that is updated on computer)

- fully functional window in window

- internal 64 GB SSD drive

- 2 free SD card slots

- Google Maps and Street View

- option to include LTE module with SIM slot and RSAP

9.2" ?!  But for now both Columbus and Admunsen have 8.0", right?

What is the difference between 2.5D and 3D?

Is there a videolink perhaps?

Just noticed that in the U/K and Skoda global website visualisers show the new 9.2 inch Columbus (without knobs) but worryingly the U/K car configerator only shows the 6.5inch one.

Hello,

I saw some Columbus and Amudsen hu on ebay. But they are for skoda Octavia. Would it be different for a Yeti?

Also sellers mentioned about a PIN included. Would it work for my Yeti?

Thank you
