Estate Rear window Washers

I know this topic has been aired before but I cannot find it on the search.

 

Has anyone managed to adjust the washer Jets on the estates rear window.  The jet does not hit the window in the right place and is not effective. If you cannot adjust it, has anyone found a solution to this problem, or is the problem just with my car?

Nope - its a plastic nipple in the high level brake light and cant be changed..

 

Its also the same on our Rapid Spaceback.. and on the Passat too.  Crap design..

 

I have now resorted to the fact you cant see out of the rear unless you want to use around a litre of screen wash.

What annoys the hello out of me is the imbecile that green lights such a poor design. At what point did someone see it work and go "Yes, that's perfect, sign it off"?
