Its obvious but check when the next cambelt change is due.

It took some fiddling about to get it to work when I did it. Probs took at least half an hour from start to finish.

I had the exact same problem. Took it to Skoda who said I needed a new starter motor. Goodbye £300 quid.

A standard 13 inch MacBook Pro is £140 cheaper with the higher education discount. (£859) I guess it depends on what you call substantial.

Me too! I bought my first MacBook Pro last year and love it. As others have said, students can get a substantial discount.

What do they sound like? Is it true they have a sound generator to warn pedestrians of its presence at low speeds?
