  1. Congratulations on your new motor! Enjoy it....id love one of these. Best colour combo imo....
  2. I agree, not wishing to cause trouble or enter a pi***ng competition but when you've come from a background personally and with friends/colleagues who work crazy hours, genuinely do care, attending fatals, delivering agony messages, trying their best to lock up "proper" criminals and you get responses from people who quite frankly haven't got a clue but just jump on the media band wagon and hear stories from mates "down the pub" it tends to wear a little thin..... I'm just waiting for the "shouldn't you be out dealing with murderers comment"......very original. Enough said from me.
  3. Here here....They would have been happy to have taken the call and dispatch a unit - especially if it was possible to have stayed on the line and keep updating the location. It wouldnt have even been a question as to how you were calling in those type of circumstances. As for the rent a plod comment - Do you actually know the full ins and outs of that job and how much they actually do! I doubt it very much, probably just jumped on the media band wagon. Might actually be worth considering the FACTS and the variety of people who use this forums before making insulting remarks. I normally dont bother with stuff like this but ALL the emergency services do a VERY hard job with very limited resources and comments like "they wouldnt bother", "rent a plod" etc does not help.
  4. What would I change?.......not sure itd be suitable for the forum.....
  5. Mine started doing it at around 4000 miles, Just been serviced and clicked over 10,000 miles last week. Done the starting thing again to me a couple of times lately. One thing I will say is how much the fuel consumption has improved with more miles, to and from work im easily achieving 57mpg (according to computer) Cheers Pullers
  6. Hi Mate, I hope you are well. Skoda at Bedford had mine for a couple of days, Replaced the fuel pump and found that one of the hoses/pipes had a very slight heirline crack in it - from the factory it woulod seem - Ran like a dream after this......up until the last week and has started doing it again on occassion. Cheers Chris

  8. Hi Guys, I hope you are well. Having recently brought a new house and finding there was some unexpected electrical work to be done im shortly going to be after getting a plasterer in to re-skim the rooms, Some are worse than others but it truly is nothing major and sure itll be nothing more than skimming. I plan on this being a long term home and after years of painting and lining papering by the previous owners I want the walls all nice, flat and level for decorating and the long term. I cant give exact dimensions but its a three bed detached, fairly large hall and lounge but rest of the rooms pretty standard size. Would like the bathroom ceiling re done to due to some light cracks caused by new boiler being fitted in loft above. Is there any plasterers on here that may be able to give me a very rough idea of costs etc. Kindest Regards Pullers
  9. Thanks for all your input guys.....Ill take a look.
  10. Hi Guys, I hope you are well. Im not the hottest with specs of computers etc, I get by but am definately not someone whos that swithched on with what I need etc. Im looking for a specific gaming laptop to be able to run....(im gonna get blasted for this!) Eurotruck Simulator 2 and if possible the Microsoft Flight Simulator X packs. Battery life isnt important really as ill always be at a power source, Good sized screen, powerful and handle stuff like this smoothly. Ive seen the Dell Alien range online and looks good but seems quite pricey... Can someone in the know please help? Thanks Kindest Regards Chris
  11. Glad to see you tracked one down and got everything sorted. Looks good mate. Stay safe.
  12. 60 mile round trip, pretty much A road and motorway the whole journey - Havent worked out the cost but normally get to half a tank and fill it back up around once a week / five days. I work 7 on 2 off at the moment with 6 extended breaks throughout the year. Its in Octavia Vrs tdi estate. 8500 miles in nearly 7 months. Takes about 30-40 minutes.
  13. Hope it goes to a good home mate, I'll keep my eye on cars for sale just in case. Hope the Beemer goes well buddy
