  1. Indeed the private plate will eventually be going onto the audi. By all means pop in and see me at work if you see the car
  2. I've been a member of briskoda for around 18 months. In that time many of you have helped me with various things that needed addressing on my car. One of you in particular I met in person when he offered to wax and seal my mk2 diamond cut gigaros when I bought them, he is a testament to the friendly, warm hearted people who make up this forum. Who also have made owning my special edition fabia vRS a joy and a pleasure, something which I have felt pride in driving. I Will miss my car, particularly it's mpg. This I hope not to think about each time I fill the 3.2 V6 Audi TT mk1. If the Audi forum proves as useful and friendly as this, I will be very pleased indeed. I wish all of you the very best, happy, safe and trouble free miles. Edition 295, Cameron, signing out! Cheers.
  3. If I haven't invested in a new car I'd like to attend this event. Who is interested in meeting me somewhere in the east mids area so we can travel down together anyone? I'm from Lincoln so anyone travelling from the notts areas or north of me I will meet up with if possible ..
  4. Don't know why no body replied to this but if your still interested.. Cupra splitter, Honda s2000 cone air filter, get the springs needs lows like hell. Mufflerectomy get it done sounds epic, black headlights maybe.. The dechromed ones you might have seen. 14 reg skoda badges? Plus vrs badge. Oh, and if you want some mk2 diamond cut gigaros with brand new rubber, talk to me
  5. Or perhaps shows how good the original ones are this confused the hell out of me, the mk3 fabia hadn't been launched yet? There is a mk1 and a mk2 only?..
  6. I have the same on mine apex springs with standard everything else.. it's good for a short term measure but really if you do want a really good ride it's probably better to get dampers too. I haven't experienced new dampers myself but I can tell you that it's sometimes a bit bouncy on springs alone and I have scraped the black tray under the engine a couple of times on country lanes (being playful mind you). But mine has been this way for a year and ultimately it does what I need it to do, which is look ace. Here's a tip, particularly if you have a cupra splitter like I do, combined with the lower car, it's a good idea to tell whatever garage you take it to to mind how low the front is when taking on the ramps. Last time I got my tyres changed I came back to a damaged splitter. They replaced and fitted (under my supervision and aid) a brand new one once they realised they couldn't get away with hoping I wouldn't notice. If you haven't got a splitter, I'd get one, suits the car so much! That and for £20 or less buy an s2000 cone filter, sounds great! Cheers Cameron
  7. Do you find it bouncy at all? I just have springs on mine and I find it's sometimes a little bouncy, yet not much role through the corners... Paul, I personally would recommend this route rather than coilovers gives it the much needed better stance and retains comfort/practicality
  8. Sorry to nick the thread, what about a value for mine. 84k miles mk2 vRS Diamond cut Gigaro alloys (four brand new tyres) full skoda history Recent new clutch/dual mass flywheel brakes all round last year lowered apex springs cupra splitter depo black lined headlights Professionally resprayed bonnet/wings/colour coded grill. new 14' skoda badges and vrs badges. What do you think?
  9. My advice, I've had a mufflerectomy on mine for a year, never had any concern with back pressure, it made no difference to the drive/running of the car, perhaps seemed more free reving but I might have been looking for a difference that wasn't actually there. The noise your after will only be achieved if you decat and you really don't want to do that. The noise is nasty. The turbo noise with a backbox removed is perfect, and the noise from outside the car particularly from the back is very very nice, there's a nice chooow noise I would seriously recommend doing it. As my friends said to me, it makes it sound a little more like a petrol! Get it done mate. You will not, regret it.
  10. Very commendable that you sort out everything in consideration of the next owner.
  11. Could you give details as to how you went about this, was it anything to do with korbon? Cheers
  12. If I had seen this, or if it was for sale when I was looking to buy one, I'd have bought this instead of my special edition and saved myself £2400. This car is brilliant.
  13. Whoever suggested rubbing a candle on the sweaky area you are an absolute genius. You are the sole reason I have regained love for my car! I used it on inconspicuous areas of my leather interior where the friction caused irritation to my ears and also the door seal around the drivers door and the boot. It may have even fixed the sweaky window when opening and closing it!! Legend! Many many thanks
